Nic Tharpa Cartier is the founder and lead artist of Nomad Heart Henna. He is one of the leading experts in all aspects of henna art and design, with 15 years experience. He has written the first major book published on the henna traditions of Morocco, and drawn many popular henna design books. He teaches henna master classes in the US and abroad, and is widely acclaimed as one of the superstars of the henna world. With a keen eye for design, his work is sure to catch your eye and dazzle you with its beauty. Fans praise the precision, creativity, and attention to detail Nic shows in his henna work.
Nic is a current board member of hennatribe.com, an artist’s organization providing community based learning opportunities for henna artists all over the world. He is a published author, having spent more than a decade in collaboration with Lisa “Kenzi” Butterworth to create Moor: A Henna Atlas of Morocco, the world’s first definitive book on Moroccan henna traditions, now available through blurb.com.
In addition to henna, Nic is a designer, painter, musician, and performance artist. He holds a BFA from Boston’s prestigious School of the Museum of Fine Arts.
